Posted 3.23.25 -What’s Fresh This Week: Cut Flowers Straight from the Cooler

Spring is officially here, and we couldn’t be more excited!

This week, our flower cooler is bursting with color and fragrance as some of our favorite spring blooms take center stage. Tulips and hyacinths continue their beautiful debut, adding soft texture and vibrant pops of color throughout the shop.

But that’s just the beginning.

You’ll also find stunning stems of Butterfly Ranunculus, pericallis, scabiosa, anemones, and astrantia—all looking especially fresh and full of character right now. These seasonal blooms are perfect for spring arrangements, whether you’re designing something whimsical or refined.

Wax flower is still going strong, but its season is winding down—so if you love its delicate clusters and wildflower charm, now’s the time to grab a few stems before it disappears until next year.

Honestly, we wish we could show you every flower in-store… but you’ll just have to stop by and see them for yourself.

Common Questions

“Bulk” refers to how flowers are packaged at the farm. For instance, roses and carnations are typically packed in bunches of 25 stems, and they are sold in that same quantity. Some flowers, however, come in 10-stem bunches and so on. Please note that we do not break items down into smaller bunches. That said, buying in bulk doesn’t always mean purchasing a large quantity—you can purchase as little as one pack of Baby’s Breath, making it accessible for projects of any size.

We ask that customers place their special orders at least 3 weeks in advance of the desired pickup date. This gives us time to source your product.

Special orders must be paid in full at the time the order is placed. We accept cash and credit card payments only. Please note that flowers will not be ordered from the farms until payment is received. If there are any issues upon product arrival, we will make every effort to offer suitable substitutes or issue a credit if necessary. For DIY customers shopping in-store, payment will be collected at checkout when you’re ready to complete your purchase.

Customers who have placed a special order in advance will have their flowers cut and professionally hydrated before the scheduled pickup date. While we do not provide buckets for transport, we highly encourage you to bring your own so we can transfer your flowers while keeping them in water, helping to avoid the need for re-cutting later. If you don’t have buckets, we will simply remove the flowers from the water and pack them in a box for transport. We recommend picking up your flowers at least 2 days prior to your event to ensure they are fresh and ready to go. Additional information will be provided when you pick up your order.

We are strictly a wholesaler and do not offer design services. However, we do provide all the products you need to create your own arrangements. If you’re unsure about flower options or availability, we’re happy to assist by helping you identify flowers from pictures, whether from Pinterest or other sources. While some flowers are available year-round, their prices can vary depending on the season, and this is where our expertise comes in. If you’re looking for finished arrangements, we have a long list of Florists we can recommend.

The quantity you’ll need depends on the number of arrangements you plan to make and their sizes. For example, if you choose a container with a larger opening, you’ll need more flowers to fill it. We will provide information on how many stems are in each bunch, but it’s up to you to calculate the number of stems required for your arrangements. Keep in mind that not every stem will be perfect. It’s normal to have some unusable stems due to quality issues, size, or imperfection. Generally, an arrangement consists of three main parts: foliage, focal flowers, and filler flowers. While everyone has their own approach, a good starting point is to decide on your focal flower—this is the main flower or bloom that will draw attention in the arrangement. Once you’ve chosen your focal flower and decided how many you want to display, you can work backward to help determine the quantities of filler and foliage you’ll need to complement it.
