Common Questions
At the farm, flowers are packaged in set bunch sizes. For example, roses and carnations are typically packed in bunches of 25 stems, while some varieties come in bunches of 10 stems.
At SFS, we sell flowers by the bunch exactly as they arrive to us. Please note that we do not break bunches down into smaller quantities.
For example: Roses are sold in bunches of 25 stems. If you would like to purchase red roses, the minimum order is one bunch (25 stems).
We ask that customers place their prebook orders at least 3 weeks in advance of the desired pickup date.
Prebook orders must be paid in full at the time the order is placed. We accept cash and credit card payments only. Please note that flowers will not be ordered from the farms until payment is received. If there are any issues upon product arrival, we will make every effort to offer suitable substitutes or issue a credit if necessary. For DIY customers shopping in-store, payment will be collected at checkout when you’re ready to complete your purchase.
Customers who have placed an order in advance will have their flowers cut and professionally hydrated before the scheduled pickup date. While we do not provide buckets for transport, we highly encourage you to bring your own so we can transfer your flowers while keeping them in water, helping to avoid the need for re-cutting later. If you don’t have buckets, we will simply remove the flowers from the water and pack them in a box for transport. We recommend picking up your flowers at least 2 days prior to your event to ensure they are fresh and ready to go. Additional information will be provided when you pick up your order.
We are strictly a wholesaler and do not offer design services. However, we do provide all the products you need to create your own arrangements. If you’re unsure about flower options or availability, we’re happy to assist by helping you identify flowers from pictures, whether from Pinterest or other sources. While some flowers are available year-round, their prices can vary depending on the season, and this is where our expertise comes in. If you’re looking for finished arrangements, we have a long list of Florists we can recommend.
The quantity you’ll need depends on the number of arrangements you plan to make and their sizes. For example, if you choose a container with a larger opening, you’ll need more flowers to fill it. We will provide information on how many stems are in each bunch, but it’s up to you to calculate the number of stems required for your arrangements. Keep in mind that not every stem will be perfect. It’s normal to have some unusable stems due to quality issues, size, or imperfection. Generally, an arrangement consists of three main parts: foliage, focal flowers, and filler flowers.
